ChargeScope is a battery charging monitor for Android, developed by ZZerker. It collects nothing, sends nothing, and has no servers. Everything it measures stays on your phone.
ChargeScope reads battery and charging information that Android makes available to any app without requiring permission:
Nowhere. It is stored in a database on your device and is used only to display live readings and to let you compare recorded charge sessions.
Recorded sessions are deleted automatically after three days. You can delete individual sessions, or all stored data, at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored.
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
POST_NOTIFICATIONS |
To show the ongoing notification while a charge session is being recorded. |
FOREGROUND_SERVICEFOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE |
To keep recording a charge session while the screen is off. Recording only ever starts when you start it. |
The app does not request internet, location, storage, camera, microphone, contacts, or any other permission.
ChargeScope is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
